Demo on Panchakarma: Dr. G. Vinodkumar and experts from Kerala Ayurveda Pharmacy Ltd., Aluva, would be demonstrating the Panchakarma.

S C I E N T I F I C    P R O G R A M M E

The Scientific  programme will comprise of Key note address, Guest  lectures, Panel discussions, Free paper sessions(Oral& Poster) and Prize paper sessions. The Prize paper sessions are restricted to  the student category only. To  participate in the  prize paper sessions, Students of Ayurveda  and allied  disciplines are requested to contact the conference secretariat. Those who wish to present free papers (Oral & Poster) and  prize papers  should  register as a delegate.

FREE PAPERS
 

  • The abstract must be typed in the box provided and should not contain more than 200 words.
  • Use a clear, single-spaced, black typeface from a laser printer or electronic typewriter.
  • The paper must be written in English.
  • The title should be written in Capital Letters.
  • State the Name of the Author, Department/Institution at  which the work was carried out.
  • The paper must be structured under the headings of Introduction, Materials & Methods, Results, Discussions,   Conclusion and References.
  • You may include Graphs, Tables and Flow Diagrams.
  • Attach a  Bonafide Certificate from the Head of Institution to establish the authenticity of the  paper and identity of  the  author along with the abstract.
  • A declaration stating that  the paper was not considered for an Award /  Degree / Prize /  Publication earlier must be given  by the author.
  • Abstract should reach  the conference secretariat before 31st  October 1999.
POSTER PRESENTATION
  • Poster should be written in a white poster of size 3’ x 2’ with stencils in Indian Ink.
  • The letter size should be sufficient enough to read from a distance of one meter without eye strain.
  • Sufficient space should be given between lines and the  poster should not be crowded with too many graphs/ diagram  etc.
  • Poster display must indicate title, name of author, aim of study, material and methods, results and  conclusions.
  • Begin your presentation from left corner of the display and proceed through middle and finally on to the right column.
  • Separate session will be dedicated for discussion on posters.
  • Poster should be of light weight material which can be mounted easily.
  • It is the responsibility of the author to set up and dismantle the poster material.
  • During the poster session, the moderator of the session may allow you to present more information  on your   presentation.  You may therefore, bring relevant slide/OHP material.
  • The poster should be visually appealing and professional in appearance .
  • The other rules are as applicable to the oral presentation.
  • Abstract of paper for poster presentation may be submitted in the box printed and tick the appropriate box.
PRIZE PAPERS

Prize Papers sessions are arranged to encourage students (UG, PG & Research) of Ayurveda and allied disciplines like Phytochemistry, Phytopharmacology, Phtopharmaceuticals, Ethnomedicines and Ethnobotony to actively participate in the congress. There are twenty five prizes to be awarded to the students adjudged best in each of the category, by the expert  scientific committee. Those students interested to participate in this congress are advised to contact conference secretariat for further details.
